Congratuations!

Sueli Shaw (IM'08) - one of eight Marin students named as National Merit Scholars out of 2,500 named nationally. Sueli won $2,500 being selected for a combination of accomplishments, skill and potential for success. 

Nick Laurant (FV'09) won a prize at the Lark Youth Film festival last Sunday, for his mocumentary "Condiments, The Rising Tide". They said that it was called out specifically for its humor and for its writing by two of the judges who are writers/screenwriters (including Daniel Handler/"Lemony Snicket").

  • MSA won a State Golden Bell award for its program.

  • Mark Peabody, Director, was voted Marin County Teacher of the Year. Read more in MSA News.
  • Jimmy Kraft (IM’10) was accepted into the All-State Honor Band. Read a profile of Jimmy in the Marin IJ.
  • MSA Student Maydha Basho received a perfect score on the PSAT.
  • Natasha Kolida (CW'10) won the Sophomore Speech final. Griffin Griggs (TA'10), Tobe Panar (Contemporary Music - Vocal '10), Shalom Stevenson (Contemporary Music - IM'10), MSA students who were part of the 5 runner ups.
  • Congratulations to the Novato High Football Team for winning the North Coast Section 2A Championships and coming runners-up at the State Title Game in Carson against Oceanside. This was the first time a Marin team has made it to State. Team members include MSA students Jacob Davis (DA'09), Evan Loker (TA'08), Austin Hallgren (DA'09).
  • Evan Loker - National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame, Inc. Scholar-Athlete Award, Northern California Chapter. Evan was one of two students to win outstanding in 2007 Academic Achievement, School and Community Leadership and Football Performance, in the territory of the chapter.

Monologues — Gold: Netta Joseph, Bronze: Ben Campbell.
